Coral has this week announced that the leading jumps jockey, Sean Bowen, has joined their team of racing ambassadors. Bowen, 25, rode more winners than any jockey bar the champion Brian Hughes last season, and has continued that good form in the latest campaign. He currently leads the standings with 20 winners, and is 4-1 with Coral to win this season’s title.
As well as providing Coral customers with unique insight into his rides at all the major meetings this season with his exclusive blogs, Sean and Coral will also create tailor-made video content throughout the season, taking racing fans closer to the action. Sean will also wear the Coral logo on his breeches.
Sean Bowen commented: “I am delighted to be joining Coral as an ambassador. They are a great team who put in and do a lot for racing. Throughout the year hopefully you can all follow my progress and rides as I chase my first jockeys’ championship.”
Coral’s David Stevens added: “We are delighted to welcome Sean into our team of Coral ambassadors, and look forward to giving racing fans the inside track on his season in the coming months. Taking our customers closer to the action is what we are all about, and few jockeys are better placed to do that in jumps racing than Sean, who has continued his great form into the new campaign, and is just 4-1 to land a first jockeys’ title this season.”
Coral are longstanding supporters and sponsors of British racing, with their team of ambassadors including former champion flat jockey, Jim Crowley; ITV racing presenter, Chris Hughes; leading jumps trainer Joe Tizzard and his stable jockey, Brendan Powell; and recently retired top jockey, Tom Scudamore.
Coral also runs the UK’s largest free-to-join racing club, the Coral Racing Club, and its portfolio of race sponsorships includes the Coral-Eclipse, Coral Welsh Grand National, Coral Scottish Grand National, and Coral Winter Festival at Newbury.
