Sweden’s most important gaming seminar to be held on Åland
The Swedish gaming industry’s national organization Sper is arranging a seminar in collaboration with the Åland gaming company Paf.
This autumn Spelakademin will be held on Wednesday 11 September in Mariehamn on Åland. Spelakademin is Sweden’s most widely recognized annual seminar for the gaming industry – with a strong focus on responsible gaming. The seminar has been organized ever since 1992 by Svenska Spel but after the re-regulation of Sweden into a licensed market, arrangement of the event has passed to the gaming industry’s national organization, Sper. This year, the seminar will be held in Mariehamn in collaboration with the Åland gaming company Paf.
“It is excellent that we can collaborate with Sper to arrange Spelakademin on Åland. We usually organize our own responsible gaming summit every two years, but now we are joining forces at Spelakademin this autumn,” says Paf’s deputy CEO Daniela Johansson.
The basic idea of Spelakademin is to give the gaming industry a regular opportunity for information and discussion. Gambling addiction, gambling policy and international industry trends are among the topics that have received the most focus over the years.
“At Sper we work for a more sustainable and modern gaming industry. Spelakademin is a good opportunity for the gaming industry to meet and discuss common solutions for the future,” says Jenny Nilzon, CEO of Sper.
Sustainability, customer satisfaction and leadership
The theme of this year’s seminar is sustainability, customer satisfaction and leadership. The speakers include Erik Elvingsson Hedén, CEO of SB Insight, who made the European Sustainability Index for companies, Daniel Ewerman, founder of Transformator Design and Camilla Rosenberg, Director General of the Swedish Gambling Authority. In addition, attendees will hear panel discussions with participants from, among others, Svenska Spel, Paf, Kindred, ATG, Miljonlotteriet and Spelfriheten.
